Laura & Todd are getting married! Whoo hoo! Todd is my cousin and he has been dating this amazing girl that we all love, Laura. I’m so glad that he FINALLY asked her to marry him. LOL! just kidding, we knew she wasn’t going anywhere. Todd & Laura live in Boise so I don’t get to see them all but once a year. So it was so fun to have them come visit me here in the tricities to shoot their engagement photos. They will be getting married in McCall Idaho in July this year and I am so loving all of Laura’s ideas for the wedding. I know it will be absolutely beautiful!

Baby Bronson

Look at this little guy, so cute!! He was such a little sweetheart. He didn’t want to go to sleep at first, but after he was out I got so many darling pictures. It was his Daddy’s idea to use the guitar and I am so glad he suggested it. I love the way they turned out!

He is such a handsome little guy, he just melts me.

Angela & Jacob {just married}

I was so excited when Angela asked if I would shoot her wedding. I was one of her young women’s leaders when we used to live in Spokane and I absolutely adore her.

It was plain to see that Angela & Jacob simply adore each other.

Angela and Jacob were married in the Spokane Temple on Saturday, December 17th. Their reception followed at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cheney.

We shot some beautiful pictures at the temple and then drove out in to the woods in search of snow. We did find a little bit which was great!

Sweet Baby Allyssa

Is she the sweetest most cutest baby or what? Allyssa was born on December 15th, 2011.

she weighed 5 pounds and 15 ounces. She is so tiny and so cute!

She did great during our shoot and look how cute these pictures are.

Congratulations Tasha! She is absolutely beautiful! I can’t imagine a better Christmas gift.

Jen & Robert {just married}

Jen & Robert were married at Zinful Panini Grill & Wine Bar

in downtown Kennewick on December 3rd.

It was probably one of the warmest December days, so we took full advantage of being outside as long as we could to get some fun shots before the ceremony.

Jen was absolutely beaming and looked gorgeous and Robert couldn’t take his eyes off of her.

These two are so smitten with each other and you can tell how happy they are to have found each other. I loved how generous and kind they were to one another and to their guests as well.

I had a blast hanging out with their kids during the reception and got some really fun photos that I know they will treasure for years to come.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Lenzi, I wish you and your beautiful family every happiness!

Despain train

We traveled with some good friends to Hawaii this past week and had an amazing time.

We decided before we left that family pictures were a must for both of us while we were in Hawaii, so I hired a photographer in Hawaii for my family and then shot the Despain’s family pictures while we were there.

We shot on Sunset Beach on the North Shore of Oahu, and got some beautiful pictures.

Here is a sneak peek of my favorites from our shoot.

PS – We’d travel with the Despain Train anywhere!! It was an awesome ride!

and baby makes SIX! The Ostlers have a new baby in their house and they are all so excited. Needless to say it was time for new pictures of the kids. Are they they cutest or what?! Ashley & Sebastian {ENGAGED}

Ashley and Sebastian are engaged to be married next year. They both attended WSU and now live in the Seattle area. When they contacted me about shooting their wedding they requested that we do their engagement pictures in Pullman. So Pullman it was. It was the perfect time to be Pullman with all of the fall leaves and beautiful color. I had never met Ashley & Sebastian before so it was really fun to get to know them during our shoot. The weather was a bit windy and it kept trying to rain, but it seemed to hold out for us.

These are the first maternity photos I have taken, and it was a really great experience to be a part of. I have known Tasha since we moved here and I absolutely think the world of her. She used to be in my ward at church until the boundaries changed, so I don’t get to see her as much as I used to. Tasha is a senior in High School and expecting. I am sure that this has been very hard on her.

I am so glad that she has a wonderful family that is there to support her.

Sometimes life’s little miracles don’t come when we expect them to… but nevertheless, they are still miracles.

The Galbreath Kids

Ok so are these kids the cutest or what? I adore these kids, they are so fun and they love to come see me & rock out their photo shoot! They also have a new addition to their family, baby Luke. Luke is a couple months old and was all smiles. So Cute!! We all went out to the orchard to capture these little ones in action and here are a few of my favorites.

Sweet baby Hazel

Hazel was born to the famous “Blodgett couple”. She was born early at only 30 weeks old. She weighed 2 1bs and 9 ounces when she was born and stayed in the NICU until recently when she finally got to come home. The Blodgett's are so fun and I am so happy to know them and their beautiful new baby girl. She is absolutely darling!!

My kids also LOVE the Blodgett’s except for my youngest daughter who seems to think ……….

Well, It all started a couple of years ago at a church trunk r treat when KYLE BLODGETT was found hiding in a trunk of a car dressed as Dracula to scare the children. Shaylie immediately erased their names off of her special list of people to trick or treat. Since that day anytime something is missing or unexplainable – Shaylie says “It was Blodgett”. LOL!

I am sure that baby Hazel will bring so much joy to her new home and family that have been praying for their sweet baby to be able to come home.

Christi and Joey were married on September 17th in Spokane at the historic Davenport Hotel.

The ceremony was held in the Isabella room and a the reception followed in the beautiful Marie Antoinette ballroom above. I am so happy for Joey & Christi and you can tell how much they absolutely adore each other.

If you remember from a previous post of mine, Joey was the neighbor kid who lived across the street from me growing up. So this was a really fun occasion for me to photograph. One of the groomsmen is my brother and a couple of the other guys were the neighbor boys.

It was gorgeous wedding with beautiful details to be captured and I loved being able to be a part of their special day.

I was so exited when Ashley agreed to bring her wedding dress to their family photo shoot. Ashley and Joe were married this year in Spokane and when I saw their pictures on facebook, I was so wanting to shoot pictures with that dress. So Gorgeous!

I love this young family and can’t believe how big their little Kolbi is getting. He is just a little darling and I loved hanging out with them. Kolbi is the newborn baby at the top of this page with his hands under his chin. So stinkin cute!

Robert & Alexis Stalberger

I can not possibly say enough good things about this couple!! They are so so sweet to each other and I just loved watching them together. Robert and Alexis were married at the Word of Faith Center on September 9th and had a beautiful reception at the Red Lion Hotel that followed. All of the little details of this wedding were beautiful.

After meeting and spending the day with their families I can see why the two of them are so amazing. Not only were their parents so gracious to me and everyone around them, they have surrounded themselves with good friends and a strong faith.

Kayleb {class of 2012}

Kayleb is a senior at Kamiakin High School. He is absolutely crazy-hilarious and I laughed so hard that I think I may have cried several times during our shoot. He brought with him a box of clothing to choose from that truly showed his Kamiakin Spirit. As I snapped away, he showed me a large repertoire of facial expressions I am not sure I have seen before. Kayleb is awesome, which he may tell you but I loved hanging out with him during our session.

I’m pretty sure this is some of his best, captured on screen moments.

Does anyone want to take a vote on which picture Kayleb will choose for the yearbook?

I am going to vote for the yellow and red , short shorts lunge in the street shot.

Colton {class of 2012}

Colton is a senior at Chiawanna High School and as you can see by his jersey, he is a football player. This was the first time I had met Colton, and he was such a nice guy. During his shoot his little sister came for a few minutes and we got a couple of shots of the two of them and he was so sweet to her. I love that!! I really enjoyed getting to know how him during our shoot and got a ton of great shots.

Grayson is baby #6 for the Ostler family and I know that they were so excited to finally meet him. He was so good while we took the pictures and stayed asleep almost the whole time. Kelcey is a senior at Redmond High School in Oregon and came all the way here to have me do her pictures. She is also my niece. So this was a really special shoot to me. It was fun having my sister Jill here to help assist me during the shoot. She was great with the hair and makeup and random comments keeping Kelcey smiling the whole time.

Vanessa and Kyle are engaged to be married next year. Vanessa was a bridesmaid at one of the weddings that I shot this summer and she is so nice. When we were discussing where they are being married we came up with some fun ideas for pictures. They were both so much fun, and totally just went along with all of my silly ideas.

Sydney {class of 2012}

Sydney is a senior at Kamiakin High School and is so sweet! Her best friend came with her at the beginning of our session and the two of them were hilarious. It was fun capturing a few fun shots of them before we got started. Sydney was not only gorgeous but so sweet. I loved getting to know her during our session. Taylor Swift

This past week I got the opportunity to take my oldest daughter to the Taylor Swift Concert @ the Tacoma Dome. It was just was a girl trip for the two of us and it was FABULOUS! My daughter Brielle is now a freshman in high school and I can’t hardly believe how fast the time is flying by. I loved being able to have this time just with her and we had a blast.

We had KILLER seats, in the 7th row on the floor pretty much center stage. Whoo hoo! I don’t think we could have had a better spot to view the concert. Except for the screeching girls behind us, and pink light stick twirler girl in front of us it was AWESOME. Taylor Swift definitely knows how to put on a good show. She is very animated and plays to her crowd very well. She also sounded great! It was an awesome production!! I debated weather or not to take in my camera because I knew how heavy it would be to cart in but loved that I had it afterwards. Check out these fun shots I got at the concert.

Thanks for a fun girls trip Brielle!! I love being with you and LOVE that we got our own Mommy/Daughter trip! So much fun!

Lindsey & Brad {just married}

Lindsey & Brad were married at the Mantio Golf & Country Club on Spokane’s South Hill on Saturday, August 27th and they are such a beautiful couple! Something that I absolutely love about them, is how much they really like each other. It was so fun to watch them together, you can tell they are truly best friends and that they just adore each other. I LOVE THAT!! This was a very special wedding for me, since I coached Lindsey in Dance and Gymnastics since she was very young. She has always been one of “my girls” and I adore her! I also love her family and consider them very special to me. The majority of Lindsey’s bridesmaids were also girls that I had coached and it was SO MUCH FUN seeing them. I forgot how much they were a part of my life when we lived in Spokane and I loved catching up and talking about old memories.

The service for Lindsey & Brad was GORGEOUS!! Dressed to the “nines” with exquisite floral arrangements and beautiful bouquets.

Kayla {class of 2012}

Jared is a senior at Kamiakin High School. I first met him at our photo shoot and he is such a nice guy. I had a lot of fun getting to know him and visiting with him during our shoot. It was such an awesome night for a photo shoot. The moody clouds were out in full force and I was so excited about it, and Jared probably thought I was crazy. Well, I am a bit crazy.

Kylee is a senior at Kamiakin High School and is one of my senior reps this year. She is way fun, bubbly and outgoing girl and I have loved working with her this year! She was so great to just go with the flow as she got all wet in the river and walked through the tall grasses that are always pokier than they look. We had a blast and I love the way these came out.

Jessica & Isaiah were married at the Richland Community Center on Friday, August 5th.

It was beautiful ceremony and decorated beautifully with flowers and greenery everywhere.

When she told me she had brought a bag of pointe shoes, I was so excited to be able to use them in our shoot. Jenny and Brett were married in beautiful service Saturday, July 30 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Pasco. Following the wedding we headed to the reception that was held at 3 rivers convention center. It was very elegant wedding and decorated beautifully. Their bridal party was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed being a part of such a special day.

Whitney will be a senior at Kamiakin this fall and is so sweet! She is a total natural in front of the camera. We went out Tuesday night and found some totally Rad places to shoot downtown. Whitney sings, plays the piano and is very involved in theatre at ACT. I got the opportunity to work with Whitney when I did some choreography for the musical Beauty and the Beast and she was fabulous to work with. She always has a smile on her face, which worked out great for us during our shoot. You Rock Whitney!

Rachel and Dave were married at Schweitzer Resort in Sandpoint, Idaho. It was so gorgeous at the top of the Mountain but I couldn’t believe there was still snow up there. Rachel and her girls wore their resort robes up the lift to stay warm as long as possible. It was a gorgeous day for a wedding and I got so many beautiful pictures.

This was an extra special wedding for me because I used to coach Rachel in gymnastics and dance when she was a little girl up until she went to high school and competed for her school. She has always been so much fun to be around and her wedding day was no exception. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Wilkes. I am so happy for the both of you!

This was such a fun shoot for me because I have known Joey since I was a kid. We lived across the street from each other growing up and he has always been good friends of our family. I absolutely love this family! They are so much fun and their twins are so cute! I loved watching the girls take turns being shy and smiling for me. They were just as happy as can be and doing their own thing. Here is a fun little preview from our shoot.

So fun! The Jones family had the the whole family home for the weekend. The perfect opportunity for a family picture. I had a fun time getting to know there family. It was a gorgeous day for a shoot and I love the beautiful pictures we got.

Lindsey & Brad {engaged}

Soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Alice. Whoo hoo! I have known Lindsey since she was probably 6 or 7 years old. I used to coach her in gymnastics and dance. I absolutely adore her and am so excited that she has found the guy of her dreams.

This was such a fun shoot for me since I hadn’t seen her for a few years and I loved catching up with her and getting to know Brad during our session.

I had planned on announcing my models today, but I haven’t gotten a chance to even get through all of the applications. THANK YOU for wanting to work with me and allow me to be your BFF!

Hailey {class of 2011}

Hailey and I went out and shot on Saturday afternoon, finishing up just minutes before this huge hail, rain and wind storm hit. Wow, we were lucky we didn’t plan on shooting in the evening or we would have been soaked. She is so sweet and totally awesome!

Hailey is a senior at Kamiakin, and will be graduating in just a couple of weeks. Hailey also takes pictures and will hopefully be assisting me this summer.

Happy Mothers Day!

I am posting this late, because for some reason it didn’t post on Mothers Day. Weird! Not sure what happened So Happy Late Mothers Day!!

I always wanted to have kids and a family. I remember having all of my children's names picked out from a very young age. Of course none of those names stuck, but the desire to have children did. Now, I can honestly say I am living my dream of being a Mommy. My most precious gift has been being a Mother.You can’t possibly imagine loving someone so much until the day your first child arrives. It is overwhelming. After the birth of my first child I remember calling my Mom and asking her if she had done all of these things for me, if she had loved me that much. Of course she did, she is a Mom.

For Mothers Day, I thought I would write a couple of fun and favorite memories about my Mom from when I was a growing up.

I always loved listening to my Mom play the piano. I also loved to sing while she played the piano. That time with her was very special to me and I will always cherish it.

She always told me that everything would be better in the morning, and it always was.

She would always tell me to stop dancing in the store, and if I didn’t she would proceed to show me what I looked like. EMBARASSING, HILARIOUS,& SO FUN!

My oldest(but still young) sister Kelli said – I remember Mom driving a group of us girls to girls camp one summer. She let us blast the song “Photograph” by Def Leopard and play it over and over. We were all singing really loud.

For Mother’s Day I am giving her this:

2012 Senior Rep Program!!

All high school juniors!! (or if you know a high school junior) Are you going to be a high school senior in 2012?? Are you looking for some awesome photographs for your Senior year?? Are you outgoing, photogenic and super comfy in front of a camera??

JK photography is looking for a couple of senior reps for the class of 2012. You’re wondering, what’s a senior rep, and what’s in it for me?? Well, that’s easy. You ready??

What’s a senior rep?

A senior rep is a groovy, fun, bubbly, well liked student who’s got an amazing personality and one who has a super positive attitude. The camera should be like your bff!! I want you to be YOU in front of it!! And you can’t be afraid to do some silly things!

Senior reps will head out with me (Jenne), on a fun photo shoot at a location of your choice! I want to capture you and your life in the photos……so it’s up to you where we go, what props you bring etc. Have no idea?? Well, I’ll have plenty of fab locations and fun ideas to get us rockin!

You’ll have up to 3 outfit changes!

All senior rep photo sessions should be complete by the end of June, 2011. Then at the start of summer you can be posting and sharing your pictures during your summer vacation! So book early !!

How much does it really cost to be a Senior Rep?

Well, it really depends on how many seniors you want to bring to me. Your cost to be a rep is $300. This is over a $200 discount for just spreading the word. This covers your session and all of your edited images on disk. You even get a free 11x14 Canvas print and 24 wallets. You have the chance to earn money for bringing in seniors as well. $25 for every senior booked who was referred and brought in by you.

Okay, okay…you’re wondering what’s it in for you, right??

This is what you’ll get:

Discounted senior package session with me (all the info above about location/outfits etc) and a full resolution disk of edited images with full rights to print & 24 free wallets.
Your parents will get a complimentary 11x14 canvas print of their choice.
You’ll receive watermarked images from your senior session to share on your social networking sights.. .Such as facebook, twitter etc …
Each friend referred will get 24 free wallets!
And last but not least, for all friends referred, you’ll receive a $25 visa gift card for each session booked with and completed with me! (Who doesn’t like cash??)

If accepted to be a JK Photography rep I understand that I am representing JK Photography and Jenne Kissell and will act in a professional manner. Beautiful Kaileigh

Kaileigh was sweet enough to come out and model for me, for one of my workshops. It was pretty much freezing and I can’t believe that she stuck it out. We were shooting in a huge open warehouse that felt like we were in a wind tunnel. Since I was teaching and not shooting I only got a few shots of each of my models, but I wanted to share these.

Rachel & Dave {engaged}

Rachel & Dave drove in from Boise this weekend to do their engagement pictures. The weather was cold, and rainy and we just had to just go with it. That being said, they had such great attitudes about the weather, and I can’t believe how many great shots we got due to the weather! I have known Rachel for a long time and actually used to teach her gymnastics since she was like 7 years old. Does that make me old or what? (Don’t answer that Rachel) LOL! I was so excited when she contacted me about shooting their wedding. This was a really fun shoot being able to catch up, and seeing the two of them so obviously in love.

Congratulations Rachel & Dave! I am so happy for you!

Rachel & Dave will be married at Schweitzer Mtn. on June 25th, so check back here to see photos after the wedding.
